1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Widget Vocabulary app (“the app”) and its online services, operated by Umut Söbe, Izmir, Turkey (“we”, “us”). The app is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple EULA”). These Terms add to the Apple EULA; if they conflict, the Apple EULA prevails to the extent required by Apple. By using the app you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. The service
The app helps you learn English vocabulary on your iPhone and iPad, including on Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets. Some features are free; others require a Premium subscription. We may add, change or remove features, and the content (definitions, examples, translations) may occasionally contain mistakes.
3. Your account
You can use the app without registering: the app creates an anonymous account linked to your installation and backs up your data to it automatically. You may optionally sign in with Apple to restore your data on a new device and use it on several devices. You are responsible for the security of your devices and your Apple Account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account: Delete Account if you signed in with Apple, Erase All Data if you didn’t.
4. Premium subscriptions
- Plans and prices. Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, billed weekly or yearly. In the United States it costs $4.99 per week or $39.99 per year. Prices vary by country or region; the app shows the price and the billing period before you buy.
- Free trial. The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers; the weekly plan has no trial. The app shows whether a trial applies before you subscribe. The trial turns into a paid yearly subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription, where applicable.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Managing and canceling. Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions, or in the app under Settings › Manage Subscription. Canceling stops future renewals; Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies; you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Price changes follow Apple’s rules, including notice to you where required.
- Restoring purchases. If you reinstall the app or use a new device with the same Apple Account, tap Restore Purchases in Settings, or Restore on the Premium screen.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: don’t try to access it other than through the app, interfere with or overload it, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it to break the law. We may suspend accounts that do.
6. Your content
Words, translations, notes and collections you add remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and sync them only to provide the service to you. You are responsible for what you add.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its design and its word content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. Third-party data and software used in the app are credited in the app under Settings › Licenses.
8. Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its content is complete or accurate. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app or Premium in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or end the service, or your access to it, for violations of these Terms or if we discontinue the app; if we discontinue it, we will give reasonable notice where possible.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Izmir, Turkey. If you are a consumer, nothing in this section takes away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, including any right to bring a claim in your local courts.
